TCBX has a storied history that dates back to 1907 when it was originally founded to transport freight from the railroad depot to various destinations across the Lakes Area. Originally called Mueller Transfer, the company became a cherished family endeavor when Con & Margaret O’Brien acquired it in 1948 and renamed it the Twin Cities Brainerd Express in 1980. The company eventually adopted the abbreviated name TCBX Trucking over the decades.
Under the O’Brien family's stewardship, the business has flourished and evolved. Expanding operations, continually updating the fleet, and broadening the network of supported regions, all reflect TCBX’s growth and unwavering commitment to its customers.
Today, the legacy of Con & Margaret O’Brien lives on through their children and now grandchildren. The O’Brien family continues to uphold the values and dedication that have been the foundation of the company for over a century. They ensure that TCBX’s passion for quality service and reputation for excellence lives on.
